WCC Recommendations
It is recommended that a planning proposal be prepared to amend the Wollongong Local Environmental Plan 2009 by:
• Changing the description of the Garrawarra Centre on the Zoning Map to SP2 – Infrastructure Health Service facility and Seniors Housing.
• Rezoning the balance of the Department of Health and Crown land to E2 Environmental Conservation.
• The Sydney Catchment Authority land be zoned E2 Environmental Conservation.
• The Minimum Lot Size Map be amended to remove the subdivision standard for the part of Garrawarra Centre zoned SP2 - Infrastructure Health Service facility and Seniors Housing

Please e-sign the submission letter below to protest at the proposed downgrading of E2 zoning to E3 development for the Garawarra precinct

- A brief review on the different precincts proposed for 2508 -submission letter  
- general submission letter on retaining the E2 environmental protection across the majority of the 2508 area

All the land in the Garawarra precinct should be E2 or E1 status.   Surrounded by the Garawarra State Conservation area, Heathcote National Park and the Sydney Catchment Authority 's drinking water catchment to Woronora Dam,  it should remain pristine as possible,
and any development by the current occupant  - Garrawarra Hospital, restrained.

Remain 7d land of the Helensburgh districts should be zoned E2 to the greatest extent, with a limited amount of conservation & tourism focused zoning within the Gateway/Gills Creek precinct
